I owned a laptop during the past and obviously there are some good points and bad points very similar to owning a desktop computer. The last one I owned was about 4 years back and that was my first ever computer but alas it didn't last for long. It was likely a second hand one that just burnt out following the guaranty expired so it made you wonder whether it was worth getting or not.

Laptops are very good though so do not worry, it will not be a smacking on laptops since I just happen to love them too.

As it will be generally known, begin with the cons and then with the pros. The reason why it is done is to begin with the negatives and end on a more encouraging note. This is not to inform any person whether to have a laptop because that sure is a personal call. It's more of a case of the good with the bad when it falls.

Cons: the sole major issue would have to carry it and it potentially breaking. It appears to be rather frailer than a desktop. The other issue is probably the battery not working anymore and having to replace it though that sure is an insignificant problem.

Pros: It is movable and can be taken anywhere. If you have got to go to business conferences, it can actually turn out to be useful and can basically aid in getting your work done totally. As far as use goes, it actually is awfully convenient and terribly trusty. Though it'll be required a recharge if not plugged in, it isn't that serious a deal.

I recommend prior to going right on ahead and get a laptop that you pick out what you want it for the most rather than just simply getting one in the interests of getting one. There are ones with Windows and Mac and that actually again will rely on use and however much you can afford. I do not know much about Macs due to not having used one in years. I am going to say that when you get your laptop should you choose to, you should pick between Vista and XP for Windows users naturally.

I would like to recommend more so XP since it appears to be trustworthy and may suit your desires better than Vista. It's not such an awful idea to have a laptop at all and might be rewarding but you've got to be sure you can look after it without any difficulty. As far as should you buy one, I say yes if it suits your requirements.
